Here are some amazing dog facts we've discovered.
Some are true dog facts and others are general quirky items that have come to our notice over the years.
Irish Wolfhounds are the largest breed of dog.
The Great Dane is the tallest breed of dog.
The St. Bernard is the heaviest.
The Chihuahua is the smallest.
The smartest dogs are said to be:
1) Border Collie
2) Poodle
3) Golden Retriever
and the dumbest is said to be the Afghan Hound.
There are over 700 types of pure breed dogs.

Did you know that the Pekingese were originally stored up the sleeves of Chinese royalty, and if they didn't like their guests, they'd come out of the sleeve and bite them!
Also Bernese Moutain dogs have a big stripe on their face so that they can use it as a decoy to hunt skunks and they have a self cleaning coat.
