Our Guinea pig gang!
Here are our Guinea pig gang, when our old two died of old age at 6 1/2 we bought 2 more females Chocolate and Spaghetti (the kids named them).
This is chocolate look at the boys getting in on the act in the background!
This is Spaghetti and he's an absolute whopper!
Spaghetti turned out to be a boy, we found this out when i went to put them away one night, ours are free range guinea pigs and run around the garden. I checked that they were both in and found Dandilion & Burdock in the hutch.
The twins Dandilion (brown)and Burdock (black).
Off Spaghetti went to part with his offending items, all in vain as the twins turned out to be boys aswell, although they'll be going to part with theirs soon.
Chocolate being the only girl and in a pen on her own through the day looked a bit lonely, she shared a hutch on a night with spaghetti as he couldn't do any more damage. So i went to Royston Animal welfare and adopted Buttercup (she 's the one that looks like Dandilion), Unfortunatley Daisy was there and i couldn't chose between them so i got them both, Beryl told me Daisy was pregnant and she only let me adopt a pregnant one because iv'e known Beryl quite a while and she knows i've got guinea pig experience. Daisy only had the one baby so we kept her aswell.
So last but not least is Baby Pumpkin although she's as big as her mum!
The girls, front to back Buttercup,Daisy,Pumkin and Chocolate.
Bet ya wish i'd never learnt how to do this now!
only got the goldfish to do and then thats all our managerie done.

Re: Our Guinea pig gang!
oh wow, what beautiful piggies.its a good job they don't all live inside,it would be a bit noisy. i have 4 inside at the moment and they all know when we open the fridge door. they all set off squeeking till they get some veg and they can hear a bag russling from a mile away. But they're so amusing aren't they, i can watch them for hours.

Re: Our Guinea pig gang!
We do have two massive indoor cages that we use around bonfire night, and if its going to be a long spell of bad weather it just keeps them social and easier to clean out rather than getting wet through doing the hutches.
I know what you mean about the squeaking though, and they all have there own characters as well, Dandilion was quite ill and the vet didn't think he would last the night, i was up twice a night syringe feeding it was worse than having a baby, it took 4 weeks for him to fully recover, but he's so tame as a result, that was 12 months ago and he's still going strong.
