Can anyone give me advice about my rabbits poorly eye.

He has had a runny eye for a couple of days and ive been bathing it to clean it. My husband has gone out to clean it today and it looks worse. It has gone sort of opaque. He is 10 years old and im worried about him. Bit late to go the vets tonight and i dont know how he would cope either.

Hi Sarah ... how is your bunny ...

i thought after i had spoken with you that it may have been an ulcer on the eye .. but that wouldnt explain the bulging unless the bun had perhaps been rubbing it and caused swelling ..

i do hope he is ok ..

Hi Angie, thanks for your advice yesterday. I was at work today so my friend took him to the vets (he was her rabbit until he was 4, when he came to live with us)

Sadly, it was a tumor behind his eye and that is what was causing it to bulge. Because of his age and the size of the tumor we all thought it was best to put him to sleep.

We had a little funeral service for him this afternoon and he is now buried in my friends big garden, where he used to play.

Bye bye Domino xxxxxxx
