Hi Folks!

Its that time of year again when ghosts, ghouls and witches descend upon our streets for the tricks, treats and spooky fun that is Halloween. However, whilst this is an exciting and fun time of year for children and adults alike, please remember your pets. Here are some tips to keep your pets safe and happy at this time of year.

* Some dogs can be spooked by an abundance of strangers in scary costumes coming to the door. Lets face it, itís not everyday the devil, a witch and the character from the Scream films turns up for a handful of sweets now is it? Put your pet in a quiet room away from the visitors if he/she shows any signs of being unsure or scared of the situation. Ensure your dog is wearing an identity tag or is micro chipped just in case he/she escapes with the trick-or-treaters.

* If your dog loves Halloween too then why not let him join in the fun. Try a Halloween themed collar or bandana to show your petís spirit rather than a costume that could be restricting and unsafe.

* Remember that dogs like chocolate just as much as humans but this can be harmful to them. Have a supply of pet treats handy so that your dog doesnít feel left out.

* Keep your pets away from the Jack-O-Lanterns and pumpkins. They could easily be knocked over by your pet causing fire.

* Itís always wise to keep cats indoors and away from people who maybe out to play a mean Halloween prank.

Have a happy Halloween Twisted Evil
